Grab a cart from the kitchen
And you can roll the cart around
filling your resident's orders
Put on some sock hop music and your all set.

Honor Your Librian
Invite A day Care To Your Facilty
For a Story Hour
Have a resident read to them
At one of the facilties I worked at
We had Story Hour with Aunt Delilah
The residents sat with the children
Then we had snacks for everyone after.
The day care loved it and so did the residents.


8th-International Working Woman's Day

Great Free Printable Card Site
Print up Thank You cards & let the women
in your facilty know they are appreciated.
Give To Women who help out in your facility such
as volunteers or those who donate products.
Have a women's discussion group about past jobs the women held.
Don't forget to remind them that "Just A House Wife" is a Job !


9th-Employee Appreciation Day
Have a potluck, with awards ceremony & print up certificates to give to all.
Let the president of Resident Council sign the certificates.
Give prize to the employee who's been at the facilty the longest.
You could also have staff vote for a week before
and give prizes to the employee voted funniest, most dedicated, etc.

Ring In Spring With A Bubble Party
Serve Bubble Gum Ice Cream.
Have A Bubble Gum Blowing Contest.
Make The Mixture Below And Have A Who's Bubble Goes
The farthest Contest.
Play Bird Sounds And Have Residents Identify

Bubbles
Materials :
- 1/2 cup Dishwashing detergent (500 ml)
- 4 1/2 Cup Water (4.5 liter)
- 4 Tablespoons glycerin (available at pharmacies) (60 ml)
- Container with a tight fitting lid in which to keep the bubbles
- Spoon

Directions :
1. Measure out the water, detergent, and glycerin into container.
2. GENTLY stir the mixture together. If a foam forms, gently skim it off the top.
3. Find something with which to blow bubbles and have fun.
Note: The longer you let the mixture set, the larger the
bubbles are and the longer they seem to last.

Tell them today only is goof off day and any 1 thing
they desire not to do today
(as long as it doesn't jeapordize their health)
All they need do is hand in their certificate
And they will be left alone.
You could even make arrangements with dietary
(They will love you for this one)
That a resident prefers breakest in bed this morning.

Make sure they add their name.
Have a box handy for them to place their suggestions in.
Everyone who enters wins a prize.(bag of candy, soda, small gift)
At the end of one week collect your box.
Choose the best idea & celebrate it on this day.
The winner gets a big prize.
If you use other suggestions at a later date be sure to reward the idea giver.
Post the best ideas on your bulletin board.
