New Year Pin Wheel Wreath

Fancy Flute Goblet(use plastic goblet)

Tie an ornament with ribbon in a bow
to your table napkins for a party-favor napkin ring
(just bend the ornament hook to form a
circle and loop ribbon through the hook)

Stuff Confetti into balloons.
Blow up the balloons.
Hang them high, but still within your residents reach.
A few moments before the appointed hour,
hand out the pins(Wooden Toothpicks).
When the time is right, let that confetti fly.


Decorate tables with metallic table clothes
sprinkle confetti in the center of table
fill plastic champagne glasses with nuts, M& M's or whatever
and tie colorful ribbon around stem of glasses.

Bulletin Board Ideas

Use the game board for a Twister game as the background.
Put the spinner on as well, with the words
"A new twist to a new year."
Add cut-out feet and hands with the Residents'
names on them. It is very colorful!

Blast off Bulletin Board

Use New Year Gift wrap for background.
Place all your residents New years resolutions on the board.
You could create flap paper with the residents name on top.
Lift the flap and see their resolutios
Curl ribbon to hang down each side of board from the top .

Rent a Father time custome.
Have a volunteer dress as Father time
let all your residents & staff have thier picture taken with him
be sure to display the year in the photo
Start a New Year Album with your pictures and do this every year
then next year look back at this years photo's.
Place a sign above Father Time saying "Welcome To The New Year"


Make A Balloon Drop
Open a couple of large clear trash bags the long way
to make two long strips. Lay them side by side, edges
touching. Along that seam, place a long strip of curling
ribbon, and cover with a strip of packing tape.
Hang it and then let it drop at the appropriate time
Fill you balloons ahead of time with New Year wishes
or resolutions. You can also have slips of paper with
prizes on them. Make sure everyone gets a ballon & a prize.
Pointed Toothpicks make good balloon poppers.
You could include staff and family.
Prizes can be small to large, from candy to a new clock.
Large facilities can make more than 1 balloon drop.
